This concert classical was commissioned in 2019 and delivered in 2020. The customer came to me originally looking for a spruce & Indian rosewood classical. However, after a visit to the workshop he fell for this rare, old and beautiful cocobolo set I had. Who can blame him?
We decided together to pair it with a fantastic German spruce top. Macassar ebony was chosen for the fretboard, bridge and head veneer. Simple ebony binding was used to frame the cocobolo. Then a custom one off rosette design was chosen which informed the decision for the rest of the guitar’s detailing.
